Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher partnered with Salesforce mogul Marc Benioff to send 20 tons of PPE supplies to front-line healthcare workers in the UK.
After Benioff revealed that Cohen was part of the donation in a tweet, the comedy star responded to the post: “Isla and I are so happy to have such persistent and generous partners in getting this done. Businesses please follow and get PPE in through.”
The shipment included 50,000 coveralls and 100,000 masks.
Cohen and Fisher are two of many celebrities using their resources for pandemic relief.
Eminem donated portions of “mom’s spaghetti” to Detroit healthcare workers. Jennifer Aniston surprised a coronavirus-hit nurse with an £8,000 gift. Rihanna has been donating resources to New York hospitals.
Taylor Swift has also sent $3,000 (roughly £2,500) each to fans who have complained about their financial burdens.
And Ariana Grande has been transferring between $500 and $1,000 (up to £830) to more than 20 fans using the popular money transfer app Venmo.
