Chris Pratt addresses being called ‘worst Hollywood Chris’ over Avengers co-stars

‘I guess we can finally put an end to that debate,’ actor said

Chris Pratt has addressed being named “the worst Hollywood Chris” in an internet poll.

The “Hollywood Chris debate” is a long-running Twitter joke that resurfaced after the Guardians of the Galaxy star was absent from an Avengers reunion intended to raise funds for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign.

Claims that Pratt was “worse” than his co-stars, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth, circulated on social media, with his co-stars, including Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr, jumping to his defence.

Pratt has now acknowledged the controversy in an Instagram Story after winning points in a charity fantasy football league he takes part in with both Evans and Hemsworth.

“My fantasy football team in AGBO fantasy football league, if you’ve been following,” he said, announcing: “I made it into the finals! I'm in the finals! How did this happen?”

He continued: "It’s a 14-man league. I had 14th draft pick. You know how hard that is? I was picked last. It was very traumatic. Anyone who's been picked last knows how that feels."

He then revealed that he’d won points over his Marvel co-stars, winning $80,000 for his charity, Special Olympics Washington..

"I snuck two very, very close victories off, the most recent off Chris Evans," the actor said.

"[Evans] had beat Chris Hemsworth last week, so I guess we can finally put an end to that debate of ‘Who’s the better Chris?'"

Many Twitter users called the support Pratt received from his co-stars “white dude solidarity”.

Social media users pointed out that the same actors who rushed to Pratt’s defence were silent when their other co-stars – including Brie Larson and Tessa Thompson – were being harassed online.

Earlier this month, a Guardians of the Galaxy comic revealed that Pratt’s character, Peter “Star Lord” Quill, is bisexual.
