This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

The 2020 Golden Raspberry Awards have been announced, as is tradition, right before Hollywood celebrates the best films of the year at the Oscars.
The Razzies pay tribute to what judges regard as the worst films of the past 12 months, with Cats, A Madea Family Funeral and Rambo: Last Blood leading the nominations.
Tyler Perry is up for Worst Actress after his performance as Madea, along with Hilary Duff for The Haunting of Sharon Tate, Anne Hathaway (The Hustle and Serenity), Francesca Hayward (Cats), and Rebel Wilson (The Hustle).
Perry is also nominated for Worst On-Screen Combo, as are any “half-feline/half-human hairballs”, plus Jason Derulo and his “CGI-neutered 'bulge'” in Cats; Rambo star Stallone and his “impotent rage”; and John Travolta and “any screenplay he accepts”.
A new category has been added this year to recognise a lack of regard for human life and public property – Joker, The Haunting of Sharon Tate, Hellboy and Rambo: Last Blood are nominated.
Joker is the only film this year to be nominated for both an Oscar and a Razzie.
