The full trailer for Breaking Bad film El Camino has been released.

Going by the two-minute clip, as well as the preview released during the Emmys on Sunday night (22 September), the sequel will pick up where the final ever episode of the acclaimed drama left off: with a scarred Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) escaping from the Nazi compound he was imprisoned in after being rescued by his meth cooking partner Walter White (Bryan Cranston).

We learn in the trailer that Jesse is being pursued by the police following the massacre, and that the film will see him undergo something of a transformation.

The clip ends with an unknown character asking Jesse if he’s “ready” – quite what he’s preparing himself for remains to be seen.

It’s been confirmed that more than 10 Breaking Bad characters will show up in El Camino, including Pinkman’s trusty friend Skinny Pete (Charles Edward Baker).

Showrunner Vince Gilligan, who shot the film in secret, returns as writer-director.

Last week, Paul revealed that his former co-star Bryan Cranston used to leave the actor ”devastated” by tricking him into thinking he had been killed off the acclaimed US drama.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad film will be available to stream on Netflix from Friday 11 October.
