At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. UPDATE: The details about 'Spectre' are out, read about them here.
Following on from Quantum of Solace and Skyfall, the sequel will no doubt have a somewhat opaque title that will leave fan forums debating what it means, or if it fits into the theory that Javier Bardem's Silva was in fact M's son.
There are already plenty of casting rumours out there, with Christoph Waltz, Lea Seydoux, Dave Bautista and Andrew Scott all having been linked with major roles, while Deadline is convinced Monica Bellucci has landed a small part.
Skyfall was the most successful Bond film ever, grossing over $1 billion at the box office worldwide.
American Beauty director Sam Mendes reinvigorated the franchise following the lacklustre Quantum of Solace, and is back to direct Bond 24.
