Having turned 33 on 25 August, the Gossip Girl actor kept the celebrations going on Thursday (27 August) as she posted a picture to Instagram Stories of her husband of nearly eight years presenting her with a birthday cake.
With Reynolds dressed in a navy t-shirt and khaki cargo trousers, the picture’s focus should have been on the cake, which was covered in cream, fruit and candles.
However, it was the actor’s arms which impressed Lively considered one of her ‘birthday highlights’, as she then shared new Stories that repeatedly zoomed in closer to her husband’s bicep with every post.

Reynolds and Lively, who met on the set of Green Lantern in 2010, have been married since September 2012 and have three children together.
Earlier this month, the pair stated that they would “always be deeply and unreservedly sorry” after it emerged that they had tied the knot on a former slave plantation.
“What we saw at the time was a wedding venue on Pinterest,” Reynolds said. “What we saw after was a place built upon devastating tragedy.”
