It seems another Oscar-winner could be joining the Marvel ranks - namely Lupita Nyongo'o.
The Best Supporting Actress winner, who scooped the trophy for her affecting performance in 12 Years a Slave, is reportedly being lined up for a role in Black Panther.
Marvel's upcoming film is a standalone outing for the Chadwick Boseman character introduced in Captain America: Civil War.
Directed by Creed's Ryan Coogler, Black Panther will explore the history of the Wakandan Prince T'Challa who must don the costume following the death of his father - the former King of Wakanda.
It is unknown which role Nyong'o will be playing, although The Hollywood Reporter states she is expected to be playing the protagonist's love interest.
While unconfirmed, Andy Serkis is also rumoured to be starring in the film while it's no stretch to assume that several other superheroes will be making appearances.
Martin Freeman is also hotly tipped to have his role of comic book stalwart Everett Ross expanded who, like Prince T'Challa, debuted in Civil War.
Nyong'o most recently starred in Star Wars: The Force Awakens as Maz Kanata, while the first trailer for new biographical film Queen of Katwe dropped earlier on this week.
Director Rian Johnson recently revealed that Nyong'o's character will be returning in Star Wars: Episode VIII.
