The film passed the previous title holder, The Avengers, which grossed $623.4 million in 2012, on Saturday. It's so far earned $618.6 million at the domestic box office, alongside a staggering $1.2 billion at the global box office.
The Hollywood Reporter states that the film is expected to surpass Iron Man 3 ($1.214 billion) by the end of Sunday to become the third highest-grossing superhero film globally, behind The Avengers ($1.5 billion) and Avengers: Age of Ultron ($1.4 billion).

The first solo outing for Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa, the titular hero, Marvel's latest traces the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War's events; T'Challa now returns home to Wakanda, only to find a pair of enemies conspiring to bring down his kingdom.
Alongside Boseman, the film boasts the likes of Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Forest Whitaker, Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, and Daniel Kaluuya.
