As has been noted before, numerous members of the Justice League are set to feature in the film, but to what extent was previously unknown; many fans have grown anxious that the attention will no longer focus on The Man of Steel and The Dark Knight but instead on setting up future DC films.
Director Zack Snyder has finally revealed just what role the other heroes - such as The Flash and Cyborg - will play in the film.
Speaking to the Hall of Justice Podcast, he said (via IGN): “As far as the other Justice League characters go, they play a very small role. It’s really just a whisper they exist.”
He added that Wonder Woman, who has been featured fairly substantially in marketing materials, will play a larger role, Snyder saying viewers will “see her really well,” adding that the film will “begin the conversation about [other superheroes being] out there.”
Speaking about the roles of Batman and Superman, the director said it will “drill down on the why of them and what they stand for and their beliefs and them as characters,” focussing primarily on their rivalry.
In other news with regards the DC film, a new image released via Empire magazine seemingly revealed that yet another villain will feature in the film. Read the full story here.
