Following the leak of images that show new toys to be released in line with the superhero franchise’s concluding chapter, fans were quick to notice that Valkyrie will be returning.
Played by Tessa Thompson, the character was last seen in Thor: Ragnarok aboard the ship that gets destroyed by Thanos (Josh Brolin) at the start of Infinity War.
Having appeared in several films since the release of Infinity War (see: Creed II and Sorry To Bother You), Thompson has been quizzed about the fate of Valkyrie, assuring fans that she is “in one piece and thriving”.
Her appearance as part of the toy range is the first major confirmation that not only is she alive, but she’ll be in the next Avengers film.
The toy range also shows off some new costumes for characters, including Rocket Raccoon, Black Widow and Hawkeye.
Next up from the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Captain Marvel which will see Brie Larson become the studio’s first female to spearhead a film solo. It’ll be released on 8 March.
Avengers: Endgame will be released in the UK on 26 April.
