Biden calls Trump a 'clown' during debate on healthcare

Armie Hammer has faced a backlash on social media after posting a bad-taste joke about Donald Trump’s rear end.

The Call Me By Your Name star posted a story to his Instagram which featured an image from the recent US presidential debate between Trump and Joe Biden.

The two presidential candidates are photographed from behind, with arrows added, seemingly by Hammer, pointing to Trump and Biden’s respective posteriors.

Seemingly referencing the fact that Trump’s backside was visibly larger than his competitor’s, Hammer captioned the photo: “He might be a racist and a rapist, but god damn he also got that [cake emojis].”

“Cake” is sometimes used as a slang term for a full-figured rear end.

Trump has been accused of rape, sexual assault and sexual misconduct by a number of different women, allegations he has vigorously denied.

He is currently being sued for defamation by writer E Jean Carroll after he denied her allegations that he raped her in a New York department store in the mid-1990s and called her a liar.

Trump also has a documented history of racist statements, and was widely criticised for refusing to condemn the white supremacy during Tuesday’s debate.

Social media users reacted in disbelief at Hammer’s attempt to make light of the situation, with one Twitter user writing: “Armie Hammer cannot be for real.... ???”

“Why would Armie Hammer post this?” asked another.

“How has Armie Hammer not deleted this?” questioned a third, while someone else asked: “How is this even remotely funny like at all ?”
