Andrew Garfield has praised Dylan O'Brien's portrayal of his Social Network character in a viral re-enactment of one of the film's most memorable scenes.
The Maze Runner actor O’Brien played Garfield’s character, Eduardo Saverin, while Ramos assumed the role of both Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) and Sean Parker (Justin Timberlake).
Ramos revealed which scene they had tackled on Instagram, writing: “The scene where Eduardo tells Zuckerberg he better lawyer up, a**hole.”
After the clip went viral, Garfield – who doesn’t have any social media accounts – text his appreciation to Hamilton star Lin-Manuel Miranda, who then wrote on Twittter: “Dear @sarahramos & @dylanobrien, Andrew Garfield texted me your video and asked me to share with you how much he loved it.”
He also shared an additional message sent by Garfield, which read: “If I had Twitter, I’d let [Dylan] know he MURDERED it.”
The Social Network, directed by David Fincher, was released in 2011, and tells the story of Zuckerberg and Saverin, whose friendship is torn apart after they create Facebook.
It won three Oscars, but lost out on Best Picture to Tom Hooper’s The King’s Speech.
Ramos is best known for starring in US drama series Parenthood.
