From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

American Pie Presents: Girls’ Rules follows a group of students who are on a mission to resurrect their love lives in their last year of high school.
The official synopsis for the film reads: “The boys won’t know what hit them when these sassy sweethearts are calling the shots. Wild parties, sexy adventures and a Stifler bring the heat in this hot new slice of American Pie!”
Directed by Mike Elliott, Girls’ Rules stars Madison Pettis, Lizze Broadway, Natasha Behnam, Piper Curda and Darren Barnet.
The American Pie franchise began in 1999, with a film following a group of male students who try to lose their virginity on prom night.
It spawned three sequels: American Pie 2 (2001), American Pie: The Wedding (2003) and American Reunion (2012).
Spin-offs, such as Band Camp (2005), The Naked Mile (2006), Beta House (2007) and The Book of Love (2009), have also been released, but mostly to negative reviews.
Girls’ Rules is going straight to DVD and digital and is also coming to Netflix “soon after” on an undisclosed date.
