Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley are set to return this summer as Edina and Patsy in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie, with the first teaser having been released online.
The pair of fashionistas are seen cruising on the sea, drinking cocktails, and slow-motion walking along the beach, all as part of what seems at first to be a drink commercial.
This is the first footage from the upcoming film released so far, with a full trailer expected to drop soon. Watch the 55-second clip below.
Absolutely Fabulous started filming in October last year, and will see original cast members Julia Sawalha, Jane Horrocks and June Whitfield returning to their roles.
The film has already caused outrage after casting Janette Tough as Japanese fashion designer, with comedian Margaret Cho saying she was ‘f***ing sick of yellowface’ in film.
In the film, Edina and Patsy are living the high life in London. However, all comes crumbling down after the pair are blamed for an incident at a fashionable launch party and a media storm begins.
Fleeing to the French Riviera with no money, they come up with a plan to escape and once more live the high life.
Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie is due for release 1 July 2016.
