From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, and Reese Witherspoon.
That's a trio you don't want to mess with. They star as Mrs. Which, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Whatsit respectively: three mysterious women who aid a young girl, Meg Murry (Storm Reid), in the search for her missing scientist father.
Disney's new film adapts Madeleine L'Engle's 1936 novel of the same name, with a first trailer lavishly unveiled at this year's D23 convention.
What's most exciting, however, is the talent behind the camera on this one. A Wrinkle in Time marks Ava DuVernay's grand return to feature film after Selma, having since created TV's Queen Sugar and directed and written the Oscar-nominated doc 13th.
The film also stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Meg's mother, alongside Zach Galifianakis, Levi Miller, Michael Peña, and André Holland.
A Wrinkle in Time hits UK cinemas 23 March 2018.
