From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Lindsay Lohan will play adult film star Linda Lovelace, who gained notoriety in the 1972 film Deep Throat, for the film Inferno, after losing a role in The Other Side. Olivia Thirlby ( Juno, The Wackness) will replace Lohan in the lead as a science scholar.

The interesting cast includes Eddie Izzard ( Valkyrie) who will play a Hippie, Pilot, Chauffeur, Butler, Bartender, and Bait Shop Clerk and Jason Lee ( Alvin and the Chipmunks) as a character named Mortimer Flybait.

It also features Woody Harrelson ( The Messenger), Giovanni Ribisi ( Avatar), singer Alanis Morisette and musician Dave Matthews, who also wrote six songs for the film, reports Hollywood blog, The Wrap.

The fantasy tale, described as a cross between Beetlejuice and Alice in Wonderland, follows a science scholar solving a strange mystery about eccentric residents of a remote island. A modern-day fable, the script was written by David Michaels who will direct.

Thirlby will also play Natalie Portman's little sister in Ivan Reitman's comedy Friends With Benefits and co-stars with Emile Hirsch in the sci-fi film The Darkest Hour.
