Scream 4
Wes Craven will return after 10 years to direct the fourth installment o f Scream. It will star Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, who will reprise roles they have played in previous installments of the franchise. It starts shooting this spring for release in 2011.
The first movie from 1996 earned more than $170 million and the three films combined made more than half a billion dollars.
Craven's next horror film, My Soul to Take, which he wrote and directed, is scheduled for release on October 29, in time for Halloween and up against Paranormal Activity 2 and Saw 7 in 3D.
The Emperor's Children
Noah Baumbach, director of Greenberg with Ben Stiller currently in limited release in the US, will direct The Emperor's Children for producers Ron Howard and Brian Grazer of Imagine Entertainment. The dramedy stars Keira Knightley, Richard Gere and Eric Bana (Star Trek).
Adapted from Claire Messud's best-selling novel about three well-educated people as they approach the age of 30, struggling with their personal and professional lives, in the months leading up to and following 9/11.
In 2010, Knightley will also star in London Boulevard with Colin Farrell, Never Let Me Go with Carey Mulligan, Last Night with Sam Worthington, and The Beautiful and the Damned with Leonardo DiCaprio. She also joined the Captain America cast, but will not return to Pirates of the Caribbean, which Penelope Cruz has joined.
