At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

As the former South African President passes away, Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom celebrates his journey from his childhood growing up in a rural village to his election to the highest position his countrymen could afford him.
Starring Idris Elba, the movie digs deep under the surface in a quest to uncover the real Mandela – the lover of fast cars, women, boxing and social events, as well as the cleverly skilled lawyer and freedom fighter – painting an intimate portrait of one of the most important human rights activists of the last century.
Directed by Justin Chadwick, it’s largely based on Mandela’s autobiography of the same name.
