From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, the film follows robotics prodigy Hiro Hamanda, who finds himself in the midst of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy his high-tech hometown ‘San Fransokyo’.
With the help of his best friend, a robot named Baymax, the two recruit a reluctant team of inexperienced heroes – including adrenaline junkie Go Go Tamage, clean freak Wasabi No-Ginger, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred - to try and stop the criminal threat.
Featuring the voices of Jamie Chung, TJ Miller, Alan Tudky and Genesis Rodriguez, the trailer shows Big Hero 6 still has the heart and light humour that audiences have come to enjoy from Disney’s animated films.
The film is due to be released in 3D in the UK on 30 January, making it a possible contender for the Oscar for Best Animated Feature following the success of Disney’s Frozen at the awards this year.
