Which acts are playing this year and which acts are you most excited about?

Many many many! Very hard to say really! Of course the Pixies will be a massive highlight, I've been a fan since I was 16 when I first heard them when an older friend gave me a tape with Surfer Rosa on one side and Doolittle on the other. I became obsessed and those songs have lived with me ever since. So it's an honour to have them headline Field Day.

I'm excited about welcoming back Metronomy who have an awesome new album and live show, The Horrors as well have a fantastic new album, I can't wait for people up hear that.

Todd Terje, Omar Souleyman, East India Youth, Blood Orange, SOHN, Suen Kuti.... Just so many to be honest it's going to be hard to know what to see!

Why did you pick Victoria Park as the venue and what do you like about this particular part of London?

It's a leafy green park with lots of trees, long grass and a band stand, which makes the feel of Field Day more like a day out in the countryside compared to a city event, but it still has a great urban backdrop of tower-blocks and is close to a tube and many many key bus routes.

Who does the catering and who organises the facilities - how much of an undertaking is it?

This year we have the brilliant food festival Street Feast on board: Street feast brings together London's best street food, traders, chefs and restaurants and I can tell you that the food will be top notch. We will also have Meantime Brewery at Field Day, they will be drafting their freshest unfiltered and unpasterurized lager as it's still maturing inside the tank on site! Plus, we'll be hosting London's Brewers' Market, with a great selection of London's best small independent Breweries.

What advantages are there to going to a London festival?

Where do I start! It's cheaper, closer to home, more practical, your friends are convinced to join you quicker, great food, great line up at your doorstep, hopefully sunny London weather!
