The American author Dorothy Bryant has turned the letters between George Sand and Gustave Flaubert into a 'conversation' for the stage. Barbara Oliver and Ken Grantham - boasting an exemplary walrus moustache - impersonate the literary giants with conviction and manifest affection, their relationship deepening from respect into disinterested love in an ultimately moving production. Dear Master's high quality is typical of the Randolph Studio's programme - it's one of the best 'literary' venues on the Fringe.

Randolph Studio (venue 55), Institut Francais d'Ecosse, 13 Randolph Crescent (031-225-5366). 4pm to 3 Sept
