Theatre For Africa draws on traditional storytelling techniques to present a show which stimulates concern for the African elephant (here presented as an individual rather than a statistic). A young musician, Deo, visits his ancestors' village in Mozambique and encounters playful and violent spirits who reveal the story of the elephant to him through music and wild dancing. The elephant itself is brilliantly represented with a triangle of grey cloth and a wire frame. Moving.
Theatre Workshop 34 Hamilton Place (venue 20), 031-226 5425. 12.30pm. Last day.
