The fifth of this year's Traverse Theatre / Independent Conferences is today (27 Aug). Entitled French Theatre Now, it explores current trends in contemporary French drama and focuses on Crossfire, a shocking French play by Michel Azama that promises to be one of the highlights of the Traverse's festival programme.

All Conferences are at 11am in the new Traverse Theatre, Cambridge Street, Edinburgh EH1 (031-228 1404). Tickets are free and are available on a first come, first served basis.
