In which painting by which painter can you find this overgrowth?
Details 296 came from Johann Zoffany's The Tribuna of the Uffizi (1772-8). (The Florentine gallery was rather less crowded in those days.) The picture is in the Royal Collection.
The first three correct entries drawn were from: Clem Grigsby of Beckenham, Kent; Mrs V Mott of Biggleswade, Bedfordshire; and David Irwin of Shiskine on the Isle of Arran.
Each will receive a bottle of champagne, as will the winners of this week's competition. Please send your answer on a postcard (to arrive by Wed 7 Aug) to: DETAILS 298, Independent on Sunday, 1 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 5DL.
