Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

PUSHCA @ hanover grand

After a summer larging it up on the sunshine island, London's doyens of clubbing chic bring some welcome sparkle to a greying capital.

Their new weekly session will feature the usual residents and stylish aesthetics that have become Pushca's trademark (above).

The door policy here is "ruthless" and those who fail to impress in the style stakes will be home in time for Match of the Day. Once inside, Pushca rarely fails to impress. Arrive early.

Saturday, 6 Hanover Street, W1 (0171-499 7977) 11pm-6am, pounds 15

ULTIMATE B.A.S.E. II @ the velvet rooms

Who'd have thought that this little venue would house one of the best nights in the capital?

Carl Cox fills massive venues across the world, but every Thursday you can hear him here playing his personal brand of hard house, with selected DJs. The crowd was recently left gasping for more after a blinding five- hour set that saw all his usual innovation and Technics-trickery.

This venue is small, so late arrival can lead to disappointment.

Thursdays, 143 Charing Cross Rd, London WC1 (01403 267376) 10pm-3am, pounds 5-pounds 6
