CLUBS: AFTER DARK
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Last week's Ericsson Muzik Magazine Dance Awards gave the dance- music industry the chance to gather together for a few drinks and plenty of back slapping.
Tall Paul won Best DJ, Deep Dish took the Best International DJ award amid stiff competition, and Danny Rampling collected an Outstanding Contribution award. Other winners included Faithless (Best Live Act), Freestylers (Best Band) and Judge Jules (Best Radio Show).
Gatecrasher walked off with the much-coveted Best Club award - the Sheffield legends have been responsible for excellent gigs and severe hangovers for many a year.
MoS at Pacha won Best Ibiza Club, an award of particular importance as the sunshine island continues to brand itself into the British club consciousness. Ministry winning an award seems like old news, but anyone who managed to get into one of the Pacha gigs will know that their night was the lick!
Pushca (right) return with some much-needed sparkle to London's club scene. Now split from MoS, they look set to take up a monthly Saturday residence at the Hanover Grand, which has been struggling to find a sure- fire winner at the weekend.
Bedrock launched last week at Heaven. This monthly event boasts John Digweed as resident - he'd called up all his mates for this gig; Sasha, Jimmy Van Malleghem, Adam Freeland and Hybrid all showed up to make the night a success.
