CLUB OF THE WEEK; THE LOUNGE @ the saint
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. This Wednesday night freebie is the brainchild of those terribly clever boys from SugarCandy. With The Saint holding a miserly 300 you can guess that this event is on a different level to their own extravaganzas but no less enjoyable. Boasting a restaurant and furnished in soft woods and bright neons, the Saint is as good looking as its clientele, which always includes a healthy smattering of well-known actors, musicians and socialites.
The Saint is essentially a bar that likes to let its hair down at the end of an evening. The tables are removed and, hey presto, the dancefloor's packed.
The music on this night is vastly superior to the hit and miss dancefloor- fillers that get spun at weekends but the dress code remains as strict as ever. Dressing smartly vastly improves your chances of entry. Perfect for a little mid-week sparkle.
