Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Why is Rulin' at the Ministry such an irresistible dish? Because it has the perfect recipe - first blend two wonderful DJs, Todd "the god" Terry and CJ Mackintosh, add the best sound system in London, chuck in a live set from sexy diva Andrea Mendez, and you have something special. Then mix Frankie Foncett and Justin Burkman's bar-room set, and sprinkle with an album launch courtesy of the disco-loving Carwash crew. Mmmmm, delicious. 11pm-10am Sat, pounds 15 103 Gaunt St, London SE1 (0171-378 6528)

More exotic fare: Club Montepulciano presents Une Nuit de Fashion in association with Babzotica. Doors open 7pm for cocktails and shopping in the fashion boutique. Then it's disco till you drop. Turnmills, 63 Clerkenwell Rd, London EC1, pounds 4.99 for the sartorially elegant, pounds 6 otherwise; 7pm-2am Mon
