This OTT Christmas grotto (above) at the family leisure park opens for the festive season this weekend, with all-singing, all-dancing reindeer and Santa's little helpers sorting letters and making presents. This National Trust country house recreates the British tradition of Stir-up Sunday (the Sunday before advent when puddings were made). The puddings will be cooked in the Victorian kitchens and Christmas ale will be made in the old brewhouse. NS
