Laura Hillenbrand, the author of debut book Seabiscuit, is set to publish a second title, announced publisher Random House on May 17. Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption is due out internationally on November 16.

Unbroken reportedly tells the story of Louis Zamperini, a World War II bombardier who crashed in the Pacific, survived on a raft for 47 days, and was then captured by the Japanese and held as a prisoner of war for more than two years.

Ms. Hillenbrand's debut title, a non-fiction account of the racehorse Seabiscuit, became a US bestseller, was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award, and was made into a 2003 feature film that was nominated for seven Academy Awards and two Golden Globes.
