The new book in a series created by Kobe Bryant has been released, two months after the NBA icon’s death.

The Wizenard Series: Season One came out came out on Tuesday.

It’s a follow-up to The Wizenard Series: Training Camp, released in 2019.

The Wizenard Series, a sports fantasy series for young adults, follows the West Bottom Badgers, the “worst” basketball team in its own league, and its mysterious coach Rolabi Wizenard.

The series was created by Bryant and the books are written by author Wesley King.

Vanessa Bryant posted about the new book on Instagram, writing: ”Welcome back to Dren! We hope you are all ready to catch up with the West Bottom Badgers for another magical basketball season.

“The #Wizenard Series: Season One is OUT NOW.”

King tweeted: ”Official release day. Bittersweet without my collaborator, but grateful to see the words live on. This a book about chasing your dreams.”

Bryant died on 26 January 2020 with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other people in a helicopter crash.
