On Thursday 11 November, you can hear Julie Myerson explaining how she unearthed the 130-year-old history of her Clapham house, and Michèle Roberts will be discussing her most recent novel, The Mistress Class. The context of fiction will be the topic of Penelope Lively's afternoon talk on Friday 12, and later that day Roy Hattersley will explode some myths about the Edwardians.
Saturday brings media figures Libby Purves and Michael Buerk, who will talk about their experiences with war, famine and live presenting. On Sunday, go wine tasting with Malcolm Gluck, hear Sheila Hancock describe life with John Thaw, and find out about the real Dirk Bogarde from John Coldstream at a literary dinner. The final day (Mon 15) sees the appearance of Sally Vickers, author of Mr Golightly's Holiday, and veteran politician Tony Benn.
The package includes a double room with four nights' dinner, bed and breakfast at the luxurious Swan Hotel, as well as tickets to all events (except the wine tasting on Sunday morning) from Thursday afternoon to Monday afternoon.
