Books: Ways with words
A literary weekend in Southwold, Suffolk, takes place on 13-15 November, in association with The Independent on Sunday. The programme of events is as follows:
Friday 13 November
Craig Brown (aka Wallace Arnold) will talk about his politics and parodies

Sir Edward Heath discusses his autobiography

Saturday 14 November
Roy Hattersley represents his dog, Buster, who has just published his own diaries

Jane Gardam, bottom right, reads from her collection of short stories Missing the Midnight

All events on Fri 13 Nov and Sat 14 Nov take place in St Edmunds Hall, Southwold.
The weekend concludes with a literary lunch at the Swan Hotel with John Miller talking about his new anthology of writing about the town

Tickets are available individually or as a weekend package with accommodation at The Swan hotel and tickets to all events (prices from pounds 199). There is an all-day ticket to Saturday's events for the special price of pounds 30.
