The burial of Baudelaire, as commemorated in his friend Edouard Manet's 'The Funeral', from Baudelaire's Voyages: The Poet and His Painters by Jeffrey Coven (Little, Brown pounds 16.99). Produced to coincide with a recent exhibition at New York's Heckscher Museum, the book intriguingly explores how works by Seurat, Gauguin, Matisse, Delacroix, Picasso and many other artists inspired or were inspired by the author of Les fleurs du mal.
