B O X - O F F I C E C H A R T S
The greatest surprise of the week is that, despite dark rumours of Robert Altman's aesthetic relapse, despite a swathe of negative reviews ("sloppy, sour misanthropy... lazy buffoonery" wrote Time Out's Geoff Andrew, and he was being moderate), despite even the fact that the screenwriter seemed at pains to distance herself from the end product, Prt--Porter has somehow managed to jump straight in to the No 3 position. Why? Loyalty? The cool soundtrack? The sexy poster? Illogical, Captain.
