Sir Richard Rogers (above), the architect of the Lloyd's Building in the City of London and the new European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, is to give BBC Radio's 1995 Reith lectures starting on Sunday 12 February. In five weekly broadcasts , Sir Richard will examine the notion of the ecologically sustainable city. Beginning next Monday, the Independent will be publishing the transcripts of the lectures in full.
