Discover the ambitious project to reshape Saudi Arabia’s AlUla region

Humans, nature and culture have thrived together in Saudi Arabia’s AlUla for millenia, but now, an ambitious new project is bringing the region to life as a living museum.

The Journey Through Time Masterplan is an innovative and sustainability-focused project that will harness the area’s rich cultural heritage and majestic scenery and inject it with a new vitality.

Here, contemporary art will sit alongside ancient landscapes, enveloped in a rejuvenated lush, green oasis. There will be 10 million square metres of green open spaces, encouraging low-impact eco-tourism

Five new districts, anchored by five breathtaking heritage sites, will be shaped by the stunning natural landscape around them. To this, 15 new cultural assets will be added, ranging from museums to art galleries, to enhance the experience for visitors.

They will showcase the ancient kingdoms that existed here thousands of years ago, and create a cultural legacy that will resonate for years to come. This is the next chapter for AlUla.
