Wolves vs Arsenal LIVE: Premier League result and final score after Martin Odegaard sends Gunners top
Wolves 0-2 Arsenal: Odegaard wrapped up the win in stoppage time as the Gunners responded to back-to-back defeats
Goals from Leandro Trossard and Martin Odegaard gave Arsenal a gritty 2-0 win over Wolves that sent them back to the top of the Premier League table after a game that otherwise won’t live long in the memory.
Arsenal lead on 74 points, one point ahead of Manchester City, who have a game in hand having beaten Chelsea 1-0 earlier on Saturday to reach the FA Cup final. Liverpool are in third place on 71 points, also with a match in hand on the Gunners.
Trossard broke the deadlock just before the break after a scrappy first half, Wolves defender Santiago Bueno steering the ball into his path while trying to dispossess Gabriel Jesus and the Belgian lashed it into the net off the right-hand post.
Knocked out of the Champions League in the last eight by Bayern Munich in midweek, Arsenal dominated the second half but it took until the fifth minute of stoppage time for them to score again, through Odegaard from a tight angle.

With two minutes to go in the first half, it’s still anybody’s match at Molineaux. Arsenal have seen more of the ball and fired more shots, but Sa has only had to make routine saves, while Wolves’ lone real chance of the half forced Raya into a fantastic stop at his near post.

Only Bournemouth (425) have conceded more fouls than Wolves in the Premier League this season (404).

Trossard attempts a technically difficult pass inside the penalty area, looking to find Saka at the far post with a cross using the outside of his right foot. It’s a decent idea but he gets his angles wrong, giving it instead to the awaiting Sa.

Saliba’s clearance from eight yards in front of his own goal is presented directly to Hugo Bueno in midfield, but his rushed shot from outside the penalty area fails to find the target.

Kiwior lifts the ball back into the penalty area for Jesus after Odegaard’s initial free-kick is cleared, but the forward is unable to corral the pass and fire a shot, instead allowing it to roll behind for a goal-kick.

RAYA PUSHES IT ONTO THE POST! Gomes gets the better of Kiwior to get into the penalty area, before firing a shot from an acute angle near the byline. It’s a powerful effort that looks to beat the goalkeeper high, but Raya manages to react and get fingertips to the shot and push it onto the woodwork!
