Einstein’s theory about light ‘echoing’ around black holes confirmed by researchers

Researchers have proven Einstein’s theory about light ‘echoing’ around black holes in a new study published in science journal Nature.

The scientists found that light did in fact seem to echo around black holes, as Albert Einstein postulated in his general theory of relativity in 1916.

The discovery was made when looking at a black hole in the spiral galaxy, I Zwicky 1, which lies some 800 million light years from the Earth. Telescopes from both Nasa and the European Space Agency were used to make the findings.
