Your support makes all the difference.An IP (Internet Protocol) address is a number exclusive to any online device you may have, be it iPhone, iPad, Mac or Windows laptop, which identifies it and allows it to communicate in a computer network.
It is the computer equivalent of your home's mailing address, which distinguishes it from other properties in the town (network).
How do I find it?
- The simplest way is to simply bring up Google and search 'my ip'. Your IP address will be displayed at the top of the search results.
Alternate methods (if you're offline)
- (Windows) Go to Start > Run, type "cmd," and hit enter. Type "ipconfig" inter the Command Prompt and hit enter again, this will bring up your IP address, DNS address, and other info about your internet connection.
- (Mac) Go to the Terminal App on your Mac and type "ifconfig" before hitting enter. You'll find your IP address near the "en0" section.
- (iPhone) Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and click on the 'i' symbol next to your network. Your IP should be top of the list.
