From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Pokemon Go will soon be available on the Apple Watch, which was revealed by Apple CEO Jeff Williams during Apple's iPhone 7 big keynote event.

The app is essentially an extension to the full game and performs many of the same functions as the main app. They can visit Pokestops, hatch eggs, check their level and team.

Players will also be able to engage with the location-based game without having to open the app on their phone to discover nearby Pokemons, Pokestops and gyms. The idea is that players will get a notification message when they're close to a Pokemon, which means it's time to get the smartphone out and try and catch it.shows how far a player needs to walk to hatch an egg, including the number of experience points needed to reach the next level.

Players on the app will be able to start and end a workout with additional information about the player's fitness displayed on screen featuring stats on walking and running distance taken and calories burned.

Pokemon Go creator Niantic Labs revealed that their players have walked more than 4.6 billion kilometres while playing the hugely addictive AR game, which has been downloaded more than 500 million times since it was launched in July.

The updated Pokemon GO game with the Apple Watch will be available later this year as a free update for everyone on the App Store.
