Los Angeles police find 1,200 guns, two tons of ammo in dead man’s home
'Our truck couldn't carry it all'

Los Angeles police are investigating the home of a man where they discovered more than 1,200 guns and two tons of ammunition.
The weapons found were pistols, shotguns and rifles. Some, still in their original boxes had gone untouched.
"Our truck couldn't carry it all," LAPD officer Andrew Smith told the Los Angeles Times. "We had to go back and make another trip."
Officer Smith maintained that there were no signs of foul play and there were no signs that the man was involved in police activity.
"We have a lot of work to do. Running the background, history and legality of these weapons is going to require a tremendous amount of time," Smith said.
The dead man's body was found decomposing in a car down the street from his Pacific Palisades neighbourhood, the Associated Press reported.
