From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Dr Pimple Popper aka Sandra Lee shot to fame with her can’t-look-away videos of blackhead extractions and zit popping, earning more than 2.3 million followers she aptly dubs her ‘popaholics.’
But now, in what seems like a natural next step, the qualified dermatologist is launching her own skincare line.
Called SLMD, the range is designed to work as an acne treatment system that will cleanse, treat and moisturise your skin.
Bridging the gap between seeing a dermatologist and visiting the drugstore, the products aim to serve as a safe and effective solution to troublesome complexions.
“Many people cannot see a dermatologist because of time, distance, finances, etc.,” Dr. Lee told Cosmopolitan.
“And, I want to give people treatment products that are the same, or very similar, to what I would prescribe to my own patients.”
The SLMD line includes six products – the Acne Cleanser, an Acne Lotion with Benzoyl, a Clarifying Treatment with Retinol, the Daily Moisturiser, the Daily Moisturiser with SPF 30 and the Acne Spot Treatment.
In addition, there are also two acne kits – a 30-day Starter Acne System Kit with travel size products and the Acne System which contains full-size offerings of her products minus the acne spot treatment.
Prices range between $18 - $35 and can be purchased here.
