Madeline Sherratt is a US Reporter at The Independent. She has written on a range of topics from crime to politics, and health stories. Madeline has a vested interest in investigative stories and Latin American affairs after spending time living and travelling there. Previously, she worked as a freelancer covering data investigations for Pulse, reported on community beats for My London, and gained experience on Features at The Financial Times. Before joining The Independent in July 2024, Madeline completed her NCTJ training and formerly graduated from the University of Leeds.
