Letter: Clinton at bay
Your support helps us to tell the story
This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.
The Independent is trusted by 27 million Americans from across the entire political spectrum every month. Unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock you out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. But quality journalism must still be paid for.
Help us keep bring these critical stories to light. Your support makes all the difference.
Sir: What has the moral minority in the United States - the Christian Ayatollahs and their fundamentalist allies in other religions - done to the dignity, the integrity and the reputation of the American constitution and the rule of law?
They have reduced the great principles of the separation of powers and the independence of the judiciary and of the judicial process to the spectacle of a sleazy cabaret in the White House where a pontificating humbug of an unreconstructed puritan solemnly asks the President of the United States of America, leader of the world's only superpower and of the free world, "Was it a hand job or did she give you head?"
"Let him who is without sin among you cast the first stone," said Jesus of Nazareth. Evidently Kenneth Starr thinks that he meant him.
