Mauricio Pochettino explains Harry Kane's omission from Spurs' starting XI
Harry Kane starts on the bench tonight for Spurs due to illness but manager Mauricio Pochettino won't be afraid to call on him if the team is struggling.
"He's ok but it's a big risk for him to play from the beginning," Pochettino told Sky Sports. "If we need him we will use him. We are going to play again after 48 hours against West Ham. The decision is the best for the team and the best for the players."
West Ham goalkeeper Adrian knows how important it is for the Irons to get a win over fellow strugglers West Brom tonight.
"It's a massive game for us," the Spanish goalkeeper told Sky Sports a short time ago. "We're in a position that we don't want to be in. We've got a good chance to get three points here at home and start the new year with a win.
"Today is a good opportunity to keep a clean sheet and score a minimum of one goal to win."
