Can Hodgson lead Palace to their first win of the season
Roy Hodgson marks his return the management in Saturday afternoon's early kick-off as his Crystal Palace side host Southampton.
Palace sacked former boss Frank de Boer after losing their first four matches this season and are still yet to score in the Premier League.
Saints, who have enjoyed a mixed start, with one win, two draws and a defeat, welcome Virgil van Dijk back to the squad for the first time since he handed in a transfer request.

45 mins: One minute of added time is signalled by the fourth official as Andros Townsend completely Andros Townsends a dipping ball over the crossbar.
HALF-TIME - CRYSTAL PALACE 0 SOUTHAMPTON 1:
What words will Ray, Roy and...Reid...have to say to Palace's players at the break?
SECOND HALF KICK-OFF: Four and a half games without a goal now, Crystal Palace have it all to do in the second period as Southampton restart affairs in South London. There have been no changes in personnel, but there must - simply must - be a change of attitudes in the home ranks.
49 mins: They're getting closer! It's no surprise to see Loftus-Cheek - Palace's best player in the first half - pulling the strings once again, and when he gets to the right touchline, his pull back is mishit by Jason Puncheon. To the home fans frustration, their captain's intervention takes the ball away from both goal and Benteke at the far post.
50 mins: What a save! Fraser Forster keeps Southampton in front with a brilliant close range block to deny Puncheon. This time Palace attacked from the left with Schlupp getting forward with intent for the first time. His low delivery is perfect for Puncheon, and the forward does all he can under pressure from Bertrand, only to be denied by the heroics of Forster. Nevertheless, it's much better from the bottom club.
Frustration at that miss gets the better of the Palace captain moments later as he dives in on Tadic to receive a yellow card.
56 mins: Threatening up front, Palace are at sixes and sevens as the back as Southampton build forward momentum. The biggest culprit is Timothy Fosu-Mensah, caught out by a pass from the right and then a cross from the left. The Manchester United loanee is eventually dug out of a defensive hole by Dann, who blocks Tadic's goalbound effort.
Meanwhile, Joel Ward is the third home player to be booked after committing a foul off the ball in the build-up to the visitors' latest attack.
59 mins: The rain has started to fall hard in South London, conditions that you'd think would favour Palace's more direct approach compared to Southampton's slick passing and possession game. Then again, the weather's been dreadful recently and the Eagles still haven't managed to score a goal.
63 mins: Holes are starting to appear in the Palace defence now as they commit men forward, and Southampton nearly take advantage in one quick counter. A brilliant pass from Lemina on the left to Tadic on the right had the visitors four-on-two but, as the Serbian looked to play in the overlapping Davis, a vital touch from Dann alleviated the attack. The home side are, understandably, living dangerously.
67 mins: On his 100th appearance for the club, James McArthur is the fourth Crystal Palace player to be yellow carded.
69 mins: Now it's Oriol Romeu's turn to be bailed out by a teammate. Southampton's holding midfielder slips on the wet surface and allows Loftus-Cheek to rampage forward from the left until Cedric moves into the remove the danger.
Roy Hodgson's first substitution as Crystal Palace manager sees him throw on Luka Milivojevic in place of James McArthur in midfield.
