Manchester City 1-0 Chelsea: Pep Guardiola’s side reach consecutive FA Cup finals as they bounced back from their midweek Champions League exit
Bernardo Silva scored an 84th minute winner at Wembley to keep Manchester City’s double hopes alive and punish wasteful Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals.
Just days after missing a penalty in the shootout defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League, Silva struck late on as Pep Guardiola’s side claimed a narrow 1-0 win.
But Chelsea suffered more Wembley heartbreak after Mauricio Pochettino’s side missed several clear chances to take the lead, with Nicolas Jackson spurning three clear opportunities.
Chelsea also saw appeals for a penalty waved away in the second-half when Cole Palmer’s free-kick struck Jack Grealish’s arm in the box, before Silva scored a late winner as City kept their FA Cup defence alive.

And the flag stayed down. Jackson was in his own half!

Chelsea get some relief as Foden was offside and then went for the ball.

23 mins: Chelsea are on top and asking questions! De Bruyne loses the ball to Gusto, who carries forward well. City don’t have the same level of control as they usually do, but cut out Gusto’s cross.

21 mins: There’s a good flow to this! Chelsea are in the game and are causing City some problems with the structure of their press. Pochettino has gone has something different with Gallagher out on the left wing and Jackson joining Palmer in what looks like a 4-4-2 off the ball.
And Chelsea look dangerous when they win it back and counter.
