Liverpool vs Sevilla - as it happened: Jurgen Klopp's men at Anfield in disappointing 2-2 draw
Relive all the action from Wednesday's Champions League clash
Liverpool need a good result against Sevilla on Wednesday night in their opening Champions League game, not only to get off to a decent tart but to eradicate the memory of Saturday 5-0 humiliation at the hands of Manchester City.
Indeed a victory over the Andalucian side will stand Jurgen Klopp's side in very good stead for the rest of the group stage, as the Spaniards are their only real challengers for top spot in Group E. Maribor and Spartak Moscow are the other sides making up the numbers.
Sevilla will be no pushovers though, having made a good start to their season so far, picking up seven points from a possible nine to sit third in La Liga behind Barcelona and Real Sociedad.
Plus their team is packed with some seriously European pedigree and familiar faces like Ever Banega, Wissam Ben Yedder and former Premier League men Steven N'Zonzi, Jesus Navas and Nolito.
Liverpool, meanwhile, haven't lost to anyone at Anfield since Sam Allardyce's Palace won there in April and have a pretty much full strength squad to choose from, as well as some lad called Philippe Coutinho.

BT Sport will be broadcasting the game but if you can't find a TV we will be live blogging it right here.
It's a big game for...
Sadio Mane. The Senegalese wing wizard was sent off harshly/rightly (depending on who you believe) after kicking Man City goalkeeper Ederson in the face on Saturday and will be banned for three domestic game after seeing his appeal against the red card rejected. He'll be looking to maintain the sort of form that saw fans and pundits alike pandering over him in the weeks leading up to last weekend's sending-off.
Player to watch...
Nolito. Back in Spain after a season at Man City that some might consider a disappointment and already back amongst the goals, having scored during Sevilla's 3-0 win over Eibar at the weekend. Like team-mates N'Zonzi and Jesus Navas he has experience of playing in the Premier League although he never featured at Anfield for City.

Liverpool win: 4/6
Draw: 10/3
Sevilla win: 17/4
'We are ready'
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to BT Sport: "If I would have spoken the last four days only about the City game, that would not be right. We have had some really good games. If you get a knock you get up and go again."
(Is Coutinho ready to play from the bench?) "That's what he's there for!"
How much of an impact could Philippe Coutinho have from the bench and what will his reception be?
'You'll Never Walk Alone'
A spine tingling rendition of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' welcomes the players onto the pitch. Anfield is a special night on European nights and tonight is no different. Kick off is minutes away.
Kick off
We're underway. Anfield roars as Liverpool kick the game off.
2 mins: Liverpool are starting in their usual strong fashion. Sadio Mane works the ball to Emre Can who shoots at the goalkeeper from the edge of the box.
Goal! Feyenoord 0-1 Manchester City (Stones 2')
Well that didn't take City long! Pep Guardiola's side have wasted no time in their match.
Goal! Liverpool 0-1 Feyenoord (Ben Yedder 5')
Look away now Dejan Lovren. Sevilla work the ball to the left and a low cross goes through Dejan Lovren and finds Ben Yedder who taps it in unmarked.
'That was a foul'
8 mins: Saido Mane skips past Nicolas Pareja who appears to barge the forward to the ground just inside the box. The referee was in a good position but says the defender's challenge was fair. Steve McManaman says otherwise.
10 Mins: Well Liverpool have not let the early goal halt them in their tracks. Saido Mane has a shot well saved from the edge of the box. A resulting corner is met by Roberto Firmino who heads over.
If only someone would mention that Liverpool look frail at the back...
14 mins: Liverpool with all of the ball at the moment but Sevilla are looking to exploit their weak defence on the break. Jesus Navas works the ball to Ben Yedder through the middle but overruns the ball and Loris Karius sweeps up.
