From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Liverpool were on the verge of sealing qualification to the last 16 for the first time since 2009 but Pizarro stabbed home from a corner deep into stoppage time to deny them.
Sadio Mane headed home in between two Roberto Firmino strikes to put Liverpool three goals up within 30 minutes, but Sevilla came back from the dead after the break.
Wissam Ben Yedder netted twice before Pizarro's late equaliser, leaving Liverpool top with nine points, Sevilla second with eight and Spartak Moscow third with six, after they drew 1-1 with Maribor in the groupâs other game.
Liverpool, who won the Champions League in 2005 after coming from three goals down against AC Milan in the final, were given a taste of their own medicine at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan and must now avoid defeat against Spartak to qualify in their final group game on Dec. 6.

What time does it start?
The game kicks off at 7.45pm on Tuesday 21 November.
Where can I watch it?
The game will be broadcast on BT Sport 2.
It’s a big game for…
Jurgen Klopp. After suffering humiliation against Tottenham last month, Liverpool have bounced back in style to win their last four games on the trot. It’s small progress but progress nonetheless. A place in the last 16 of the Champions League would be another major turning point for Klopp and his men, and would undoubtedly instil the side with a renewed sense of confidence and purpose. A defeat, though, would seriously ramp up the pressure and force Liverpool back under the spotlight.
Remember when…
Liverpool pulled ahead in the 2016 Europa League final only to be denied by a Spanish comeback which saw Sevilla claim a 3-1 victory? Watch below if you can bear to relive the experience.
Player to watch…
Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian already has 14 goals from 18 games this season. Statistically, Salah is converting chances at a quicker rate than Robbie Fowler when he entered Liverpool’s first team in sensational fashion twenty-three years ago. Salah’s feat is made more remarkable that he is not even a centre-forward. The winger has been in sparkling form of late, helping his side to hit back after the defeat to Spurs, and it’s likely he’ll have a key role to play on Tuesday night.

Besiktas reach the last 16
The full-time whistle has just gone in Istanbul and Besiktas are into the knock-out stages of the Champions League for the first time after a 1-1 draw with Porto.
Felipe opened the scoring for the visitors but Anderson Talisca's leveller just before half-time was enough to guarantee Besiktas top spot in Group G.
Meanwhile, Spartak Moscow vs Maribor, another early kick-off, ended 1-1 in Group E - a result which does neither side any favours ahead of the meeting of first-placed Liverpool and second-placed Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
BT Sport's analysts have been fairly impressed with Mo Salah this season. Here's what they had to say about the little Egyptian a few moments ago...
Rio Ferdinand: "Mo Salah has been phenomenal this season. It makes it a nightmare to play against. You don't know where they are.
"Salah is scoring different types of goals. That's the impressive thing about him."
Frank Lampard: "Salah's full of confidence and when Liverpool are on form, they're as good as anybody to watch because they've got so much ability going forward."
Michael Owen: "His movement off the ball is second to none at the moment."
Sevilla vs Liverpool previous meetings
These two teams have only ever played each other twice before and Liverpool are yet to come out on top.
In the 2016 Europa League final the Spanish side emerged as 3-1 victors, while at Anfield earlier this season the two teams drew 2-2.
Can Spurs bounce back from Saturday's defeat in the North London derby with a win in Germany?
Guardiola: We're not Champions League favourites
Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri and Leicester boss Claude Puel have both recently claimed that Manchester City are the best side in Europe but boss Pep Guardiola, in the build-up to tonight's game against Feyenoord at the Etihad, has played down his side's chances of winning European club football's elite prize.
"I say thank you very much to both of them," said Guardiola, "For Manchester City, a team that still needs a history in Europe, it is a big win (against Napoli).
"That doesn't mean we are favourites to win the Champions League but it's nice. It means we are doing some things very well.
"But obviously people usually say the favourite teams are FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and others. But that people put us there, is a big honour. That does not mean we have done anything because we haven't."
